Memories

I have been thinking about my Aunt lately as she is going to be coming back to this country to stay with my parents. When I think about her it reminds me of child hood holidays that I used to have at her house. I loved the fact that she had a lovely big house with lots of bedrooms, lots of toys and a great playing field over her back wall which we used to play in. Her cooking was fabulous and she was great at entertaining too. I also remember that her house was full of unusual items such as little framed Monet paintings that she had done herself. She had huge chairs in her sitting room which were soft and squashy and enormous speakers ? as tall as a person which her husband used to listen to his opera music. I remember the basement was full of games and toys with a table tennis table, dartboard and hand print paintings all over the wall. I loved the relaxed atmosphere in the house, there was no rush to do things, much less, discipline and children were always entertained so I had enormous fun. I hope that when my children meet my aunt that they will start to get some of the same nice memories that I have of her.
