Helping Out With a Garden
I have been trying to help a neighbour with improving their garden. They have often been embarrassed at how their garden looks messy and what the other neighbours might think. I love gardening and garden design and so I have volunteered to help them out with it. They said that they fancy the idea of a water garden but I decided that something simpler might be better. I know that it needs to be easy to manage or else it will get out of control like it did before. I think that it might be best to pave most of it or have gravel or something like hat with a good weed barrier underneath and some nice furniture. This will mean that they will not have to do much gardening. To brighten it all up, I thought that some raised bed gardening might be suitable as it is easier to do without the bending. I think that if I put in a few simple shrubs to start with that do not need much care then if they want to plant anything more ambitious they can do. She also asked me if I could put something in the garden for her children to play with and I decided that some sandboxes would be a good idea. They stay pretty tidy and they will give plenty of hours of fun.
